The Maison Carrée of Nîmes

Located in the city of Nîmes in the Gard department of the Occitanie region, this Roman temple represents one of the best-preserved examples of Augustan architecture from the 1st century CE. Built during the reign of Augustus, the structure exemplifies Classical proportions and construction techniques that influenced architectural traditions throughout subsequent centuries.
