The Châtillon-sur-Saône Museum, located in the Vosges in Grand Est, offers over 600 m² of full-scale reconstructions of everyday life scenes from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Visitors discover in particular a 17th-century kitchen, a plague doctor's office, artisan workshops (shoemaker, stonemason), a 13th-century rural school and a 19th-century Jules Ferry school, as well as spaces dedicated to local activities such as viticulture and distillation. The museum also incorporates elements of local history, such as a space dedicated to the Châtillon painter Monchablon (1855-1904). Visits are offered independently or with a guide, and the site complements the offering with visits to the surrounding Renaissance Town, highlighting the medieval and Renaissance architectural heritage of the village.
