The Charles-Friry Museum is located in Remiremont in an 18th-century house, a former residence of the town's noble chapter. It houses collections of art and history linked to local monastic heritage, including a major work: "The Hurdy-Gurdy Player with a Satchel" by Georges de La Tour, circa 1640. The collections cover ancient and modern painting, notably by Lorraine, Flemish and French painters from the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as sculptures, furniture, earthenware and pewter from Remiremont. In 2020, the museum was enriched with new rooms dedicated to 20th-century painting and remarkable sets of Lunéville earthenware bearing the arms of Duke Stanislas. It is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility and offers educational activities.
