The Charles-de-Bruyères Museum, located in Remiremont in the Vosges, occupies the residence and houses the collections bequeathed by Charles de Bruyères (1823-1905), a lawyer and collector from the town. The museum presents an eclectic collection comprising paintings, sculptures, graphic arts, art objects and historical documents, with particular emphasis on the 18th century and family connections with Lorraine nobility and the local abbey chapter. The collections include 17th-century Dutch paintings, Italian and French works, earthenware, Art Nouveau glassware from the Nancy school, as well as medieval sculptures and intaglios from the former abbey. The museum also preserves works by Vosges painters and an important collection of works on paper. It is managed by the municipality of Remiremont.
