
Maison Paternelle de Sainte Bernadette

The Paternal Home of Saint Bernadette is a museum located in Lourdes, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, occupying the historic residence of the Soubirous family. The place preserves period furnishings with original furniture and presents a collection of relics and personal objects belonging to Saint Bernadette, including her baptismal gown, her missal, her handkerchief, and her correspondence from the Nevers convent. The museum also displays a replica of the Lourdes apparition grotto made by Bernadette herself, as well as family portraits spanning from that era to contemporary times. Since 2023, the house has been managed by the fifth generation of the Soubirous family, maintaining the space as a family and cultural heritage site. A guided tour service is offered to visitors, complemented by a shop and on-site tourist information.
