Musée
Lourdes · Hautes-Pyrénées · Occitanie

The Moulin de Boly is the birthplace of Bernadette Soubirous, born at the mill on January 7, 1844. Located in Lourdes in the Hautes-Pyrénées, this private museum preserves the living spaces of the Soubirous family, who occupied the mill for ten years. The visit allows visitors to discover Bernadette's birth chamber, the kitchen, as well as the mechanisms of the water mill restored in 2012, whose millstones operate on demand. The Moulin de Boly is part of the local heritage as a testimony to daily life in the 19th century and constitutes a place of memory linked to the religious history of Lourdes. The welcome and visits are provided by nuns, and entry is free with the possibility of making donations.
