Musée du Dolder

Riquewihr · Haut-Rhin · Grand Est

The Dolder Museum is a museum located in Riquewihr, in the Haut-Rhin department, in the Grand Est region. It occupies the emblematic Dolder tower, a building dating from 1291, whose four stories offer a perspective on the roofs of the city and the Alsatian plain. The museum presents the history of Riquewihr's defenses over the centuries, through the devices implemented by its inhabitants to protect themselves from attackers and fires. Managed by the Society for History and Archaeology of Riquewihr (SHAR), it is part of a collection of two visitor sites supplemented by a temporary exhibition space, generally open from April to November.
