The Dolder Museum, also known as the Thieves' Tower, is located in Riquewihr in the Upper Rhine. It occupies a pentagonal defensive tower 18 meters high dating from 1291, a former element of the medieval fortifications, as well as a 16th-century vintner's house. The museum presents the remains of the site's feudal justice system, notably the torture chamber with its oubliette and strappado, as well as a collection of torture instruments. The vintner's house preserves reconstructed interiors—kitchen, bedroom, and cellar—and evokes the work of the cooper and vintner through old tools and objects. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and benefits from the label.
