The Brivet Wooden Maritime Museum is an open-air museum located in Montoir-de-Bretagne, in Loire-Atlantique. It traces the history of wooden shipbuilding and maritime life in the Brière region from the 16th to the end of the 19th century, covering activities of coastal trade, long-haul voyages, and commercial trips to the West Indies and Africa. The museum is part of a heritage complex that includes the Port of Rozé in Saint-Malo-de-Guersac and the Saint-Nazaire ecomuseum, each documenting a distinct period of this naval history. Founded in 1999 by volunteers from the Montoir Tourism Animation Group, it resulted from an exhibition dedicated to the trades of shipwrighting and the genealogy of local sailor families. Access to the museum is free and open to the public.
