The Mindin Maritime Museum, located in Saint-Brevin-les-Pins in Loire-Atlantique, is dedicated to the history of the French Navy. It presents four permanent exhibitions devoted to the great French ocean liners (Île-de-France, Normandie, France) and to shipbuilding in Saint-Nazaire, as well as a temporary exhibition renewed annually. The museum's collections, comprising approximately eight hundred pieces, include extremely rare scale models including France's first aircraft carrier the Béarn (1927), historical objects, documents and navigation instruments. The museum offers guided tours and welcomes groups by appointment. Labeled "400 Years of the Navy," it is part of an effort to preserve and transmit maritime and technical heritage.
