The Nantes Museum of Fine Arts is located in Nantes in Loire-Atlantique. It presents nine centuries of visual arts, from the Middle Ages to the contemporary period, through its collections which comprise more than 14,000 works. Nearly half of these collections fall under modern and contemporary art. The museum, completely renovated in 2017, occupies three distinct buildings – the Palace, the Chapel of the Oratory, and the Cube – whose architecture reflects their respective periods. It regularly offers temporary exhibitions and makes its collections available online, inviting visitors to explore Western art in an approach that combines historical heritage and current creation.

Noirmoutier Castle, built at the end of the 12th century by Pierre V de la Garnache, has dominated the island of Noirmoutier for more than eight hundred years. Listed as a historical monument in 1994, it offers a museum tour across several floors combined with the discovery of the building's historic spaces. The City regularly organizes annual exhibitions, youth workshops and cultural events there. The site welcomes approximately 40,000 visitors each year and includes a courtyard freely accessible to the public. Restoration work on the ramparts, undertaken since 2020, continues the conservation of this major monument of Vendée's heritage.

The Natural History Museum of Nantes is a research and conservation institution. Its collections cover several fields: zoology, earth and space sciences, botany, ethnology, and historical collections. Established in Loire-Atlantique, the museum continues its activities with the public through an itinerant program in the municipalities of the Nantes metropolitan area, particularly during its renovation period. The institution also conducts scientific activities: its teams carry out research and field missions, notably paleontological ones. The museum offers temporary exhibitions, cultural events, and educational activities for teachers and visitors.

The Shell Museum, located in Les Sables-d'Olonne in Vendée, is a museum dedicated to collections of shells, corals and marine minerals. It houses approximately 50,000 pieces organized into five thematic worlds, presenting the diversity of shapes, textures and colors of shells as well as natural curiosities. The museum offers interactive tours and guided visits, complemented by an offering of mother-of-pearl jewelry and objects in the shop. Located in the heart of the fishing port of Les Sables-d'Olonne, it caters to both individual visitors and groups and school visits.

The Jules Verne Museum in Nantes is dedicated to the writer and his literary universe. Inaugurated in 1978 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Jules Verne's birth, it preserves a rich collection comprising autographed manuscripts, books, documents, illustrations, posters, objects and contemporary creations. The museum offers an exploration of the author and his "Extraordinary Voyages" through multimedia content and interactive approaches. Located in Nantes, the port city that inspired the writer's imagination, the museum also offers educational activities, creative workshops and guided tours adapted for families and school groups.
