History & HeritageMémorial des batailles de la Marne
Dormans · Marne · Grand Est
The Memorial of the Battles of the Marne is one of four French national monuments dedicated to the First World War. Located in Dormans in Marne, in the castle park, it commemorates the battles that took place in this territory during the 1914-1918 conflict. The site offers exhibitions and guided tours allowing visitors to explore the history of these major events. An exhibition space welcomes visitors and complements the visit to the monument itself. After a rehabilitation carried out between 2015 and 2018, the memorial remains a place of memory and transmission for the heritage of the Great War.
