The Dourdan Castle Museum is housed in a medieval fortress located in Essonne, in the Île-de-France region. It presents the fortified castle and its outbuildings through a museographic approach that combines the building's architecture and its collections. The museum offers visitor spaces including a house-museum, a library and archives, documenting the site's heritage and history. The institution is also carrying out significant restoration and conservation work on the keep, the fortifications and the building structures. It also hosts temporary exhibitions and has an educational space for school groups.
