The Écomusée of Saint-Chéron, located in Essonne in the Île-de-France region, presents a permanent exhibition dedicated to former trades and local life. The collections illustrate professionals once essential to the municipality: shoemaker, carpenter, quarryman, blacksmith-farrier, laundress, among others, through tools, objects and photographic reproductions. The establishment also offers a space dedicated to temporary exhibitions featuring various cultural and artistic themes. Open to the public Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., it also welcomes groups and school visits by appointment. Access is free and adapted for people with disabilities.
