The Bayeux Tapestry Museum is currently closed for renovation work, with reopening scheduled for October 2027. Located in Bayeux in Calvados, in Normandy, it is one of three museums managed by the City of Bayeux, alongside the Memorial Museum of the Battle of Normandy and the MAHB - Museum of Art and History Baron Gérard. The museum houses the famous Bayeux Tapestry, a major historical document recounting events from the Middle Ages. This institution is an integral part of the cultural heritage of the medieval city of Bayeux. The museum's redevelopment project, whose sketches were presented to the public in 2024, aims to improve the presentation and preservation of this emblematic work.
