The D-Day Museum in Arromanches-les-Bains, in Calvados, is dedicated to the operations of June 6, 1944 and the Battle of Normandy. The first museum created on this subject in the aftermath of World War II, it documents Operation Overlord and its strategic stakes, particularly the transport of Allied troops and supplies to Normandy. The museum's collections bring together military objects and equipment from the period, as well as documents and testimonies relating to the conflict. The museum also offers temporary exhibitions and organizes annual commemorations of D-Day anniversaries. It constitutes a major historical heritage site for the Norman region.
