Explor Wendel Park is a site museum located in Petite-Rosselle, in Moselle, on the former Wendel coal mining site, founded in 1862. It presents the Wendel Miners Museum, which traces the daily life of coal miners in Lorraine through trilingual exhibition spaces and authentic reconstructions such as the hanging room, showers and lamp room. The site also offers guided tours of the Wendel Mine, allowing descent to more than 1,200 meters deep, as well as visits to the surrounding mining towns. The former coal treatment washing plant now hosts events and exhibitions. The park constitutes one of the most complete sets of buildings related to coal mining in Europe, combining heritage discovery, educational activities and leisure services.
