The Departmental Museum of Modern Art - Zervos collection is located in Vézelay, in Yonne, in the house where writer Romain Rolland lived. The museum houses a modern art collection assembled by Christian Zervos, art critic and founder of the journal "Cahiers d'art", who maintained close relationships with the principal artists of his time. The works presented include notably pieces by Picasso, Miró, Kandinsky, Calder and Ernst, illustrating Zervos's commitment to modern art. Beyond its permanent collections, the museum offers temporary exhibitions, guided tours and workshops. Labeled "Musées de France" in 2003, this venue combines the preservation of literary heritage with the presentation of major works from the 20th century.
