Musée du Costume

The Costume Museum is housed in a private mansion from the 17th and 18th centuries in Avallon, in Savoy. It presents a new exhibition each year devoted to the history of fashion, organized across twelve rooms decorated with period furniture and paintings. Temporary exhibitions explore different periods and evolutions of clothing practices. The museum is open to the public from April 4 to November 2, with guided tours and the possibility of welcoming groups by reservation. It constitutes a point of heritage and cultural interest in the Yonne region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
