The Hercule's Sources Museum is an establishment located in rural territory in Deneuvre, in Meurthe-et-Moselle. It reconstructs the ancient sanctuary dedicated to Hercules as it was frequented by pilgrims nearly two thousand years ago, a site discovered in 1974 during the digging of a well. The museum presents the archaeological remains unearthed during excavations: statuary, coins, jewelry, ceramic and glass objects, evidence of visits by pilgrims from the far reaches of the Roman Empire. The museum display reconstructs the sanctuary in its historical configuration and exhibits the discoveries in thematic display cases. The museum offers educational materials and welcomes school groups.
