The Musée du Pays Rabastinois is an art and history museum located in the heart of Rabastens, in Tarn. It presents artistic and craft collections gathered from Rabastens and its surroundings, organized around five main themes: archaeology, craftsmanship, fine arts, decorative arts, and sacred art. Its collections notably bear witness to the richness of glazed earthenware from Giroussens produced between 1650 and the 18th century, the traditions of woodworking since the 17th century, and a collection of sacred art from churches in the region. The museum also preserves works by artists who practiced or lived in the Rabastinois area, as well as archaeological remains covering the Prehistoric and Early Medieval periods, including a section of mosaic from the Gallo-Roman site of Las Peyras. It is committed to preserving and promoting this regional heritage.
