The Museum of Wind Instruments, located in La Couture-Boussey in Eure, in rural Normandy, is dedicated to instrument making and the history of wind instrument manufacturing. Created by workers specialized in this field, it preserves a remarkable collection of instruments, archives, tools and machines spanning the period from the 18th century to the present day, including flutes, clarinettes, oboes and bassoons. The museum documents the intensity of instrument production in the Couturiot basin since the 1700s, and preserves the memory of the instrument makers and businesses of the region. Labeled a "Musée de France" since 2003, it conveys the economic, social and artistic history of La Couture-Boussey and surrounding villages. The establishment offers educational programs and regularly organizes temporary exhibitions and cultural events.
