The Museum of Art and History of Dreux is located in Eure-et-Loir, in the Centre-Val de Loire region. It brings together collections covering several historical periods, from prehistory to the 19th century. Its collection emphasizes 19th-century art with major works such as Claude Monet's Study of Wisterias and the first recumbent figure of the Duchess of Alençon by sculptor Barrias. The museum also presents archaeological collections, stained glass windows and medieval sculptural elements related to local history and the former Saint-Étienne Collegiate Church. It offers throughout the year temporary exhibitions, lectures, educational visits and activities for all audiences. Access to the permanent collections is free.
