The Museum of the Vallée de Villé, located in Albé in Alsace, is a museum of popular arts and traditions housed in a set of rehabilitated historic buildings, including a Vosgian-style farmhouse dating from 1709. The museum traces the life of the inhabitants of the Vallée de Villé from the ancien régime to the end of the nineteenth century through reconstructed and furnished rooms: stube, kitchen, bedroom, stable, hayloft and schoolroom. The institution offers an immersive experience centered on regional heritage, secular traditions and the know-how passed down by past generations. The museum is located in the heart of the village of Albé, place du Tilleul, and welcomes individual visitors as well as school and tourist groups year-round by reservation.
