The Betschdorf Pottery Museum is located in a half-timbered house from the early 18th century, a former farm with outbuildings, in the rural territory of Lower Alsace. It houses a collection of salt-glazed stoneware pottery, characterized by the "gray and blue" hues typical of the region. The museum tour traces the origins and evolution of this local craft, presenting both utilitarian objects and their artistic and symbolic dimensions, as well as the manufacturing techniques and lineages of potters who transmitted this expertise. A reconstructed workshop, video projections and temporary exhibitions complement the visit, which can be conducted with audio guide headsets.
