The Historical and Industrial Museum - Iron Museum is located in Reichshoffen, in Northern Alsace. Open since 1993, it occupies the former Catholic rectory built in 1759. The museum offers a chronological tour across three levels covering local history from prehistory to modern times, with an emphasis on industrial development and iron exploitation. The ten permanent rooms successively showcase regional archaeology, medieval and revolutionary history, the beginnings of the iron and steel industry, then the iron industry in the 19th and 20th centuries. A temporary exhibition space on the second floor hosts complementary exhibitions. The museum operates by reservation from May 1st to October 31st.
