The Museum of Fabric Printing (MISE) is an associative museum created in 1955 in Mulhouse, housed in buildings formed in the 19th century. It combines the vocations of a decorative and industrial art museum, a technical museum, and a local history museum. Its collections, of varied nature, bring together printed textiles, graphic arts, archives, sample books, industrial machines, as well as ethnographic objects and decorative arts, testifying to textile printing in Mulhouse and worldwide. The museum pays particular attention to the conservation, restoration, and documentation of its heritage, which it makes available to contemporary artists and designers. It offers permanent and temporary exhibitions, as well as mediation activities and workshops.
