Maison du Pain d'Alsace

Sélestat · Bas-Rhin · Grand Est

The Alsatian Bread House is a museum and leisure center dedicated to regional baking traditions, established in Sélestat, a city of art and history in Lower Alsace. Housed in the former bakers' guild, the institution offers a bakery, a museum, a lounge and a shop. Managed by an association composed of volunteers and employees, it works to transmit local baking expertise. The site welcomes self-guided and guided tours, baking workshops, as well as occasional activities. The establishment also offers food service and the sale of baking products on site, allowing for a practical and gustatory approach to Alsatian food heritage. A partnership offers visitors reduced rates with the neighboring Humanist Library.
