The Little Doughboy Museum is a private museum dedicated to the memory of American soldiers from World War I. Located in Marac in Haute-Marne, it presents a collection of approximately 3,000 objects gathered since 1980 by Franck Besch: uniforms, correspondence, photographs, military equipment and personal effects of American soldiers stationed in the department. The exhibition, developed over 90 m², traces the daily life of American troops in Haute-Marne and documents the engagement of the United States during the conflict. The museum notably preserves items of particular historical interest, such as documents from the American headquarters in Chaumont and memorabilia from officers who participated in major offensives. Open to all audiences as well as schools, the museum operates on the basis of self-guided visits and offers free admission.
