The Château de Saint-Germain de Livet is a building listed as a historic monument, located in Normandy near Lisieux in Calvados. Dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, it is distinguished by its architecture characteristic of the Pays d'Auge region, combining a half-timbered manor with a construction of stone and glazed brick. Surrounded by moats and nestled in a verdant landscape setting, the château offers a synthesis of the constructive techniques of the Norman territory. Organized as a museum by the Lisieux Normandie Agglomeration Community, the site is currently accessible to visitors through its gardens and architectural perspectives, with the interiors undergoing restoration. Free guided tours present the history and exterior architecture of the building.
