The museum "In the Belle Époque of Desvres Earthenware" is located in Desvres, in the Pas-de-Calais, within the former Gabriel Fourmaintraux factory, on Jean Jaurès Street. Created in 2008 in the former mold storage hall, it preserves a personal collection of approximately 4,000 pieces of earthenware, porcelain, stoneware and tiles, displayed on shelves and thematic tables. The museum is built upon a remarkable industrial heritage: some 60,000 original molds and models have been preserved and cataloged, testifying to the expertise of local manufactures and earthenware artisans from Desvres and the region. The collections also include archives and productions from the Fourmaintraux and Samson de Paris manufactures, as well as pieces by ceramicists such as Géo Martel, René Delarue and other master craftsmen. Visits are guided and last approximately one hour.
