The School-Museum of Boulogne-sur-Mer is a museum dedicated to educational heritage, located in the former Madame de Sévigné kindergarten school. This building, reconstructed in 1956 by architect Jean Grosbois, occupies the site of the Saint-Nicolas asylum, one of the oldest educational institutions in the city. Designed according to modernist design principles with a glass and concrete structure, the building embodies the precepts of new education and opens onto the world. Located in the heart of the lower town in Pas-de-Calais, the museum offers an immersive experience in luminous and airy spaces. It is accessible to the public according to a seasonal schedule and welcomes individual visitors, groups, and families.
