The Port-Museum of Douarnenez is an open-air museum dedicated to boats and maritime cultures. Located on the port of Douarnenez in Finistère, it offers a nationally significant collection bringing together working and pleasure boats, witnesses to maritime traditions from Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania. The museum features floating vessels, including sardine boats, coastal traders, tugboats and traditional boats from different regions of the world. Through its permanent collections and temporary exhibitions, the Port-Museum explores the history of fishing, life aboard and in the port, as well as the technical and cultural exchanges of maritime worlds. It constitutes a unique space dedicated to Breton and international maritime heritage.
