Cité de la Voile Éric Tabarly

Lorient · Morbihan · Bretagne

Éric Tabarly's City of Sailing is a museum dedicated to sailing and offshore racing, located in Lorient in Morbihan, Brittany. The visit route, lasting two to three hours, offers an interactive approach to the maritime world through navigation simulators, radio-controlled sailing boat pools, full-size boat elements and multimedia spaces devoted to nautical activities. The museum particularly emphasizes the figure of navigator Éric Tabarly and his boats, the Pen Duick, visible on the adjacent pontoons. The City also includes a dedicated space for children aged two to twelve and offers sailing outings in the roadstead as well as summer access to a water sports stadium. The site, located at Lorient La Base, regularly welcomes school groups, families and individual visitors, and can be rented for professional events.
