Musée Verlaine - Auberge du Lion d'Or

The Verlaine Museum is located in the Auberge du Lion d'Or in Juniville, in the Ardennes, facing the residence that the poet once rented. It is one of the rare places frequented by Paul Verlaine still preserved intact and accessible to the public. The museum occupies 1500 m² and presents period furniture in its original state, as well as an iconographic collection relating to the life and work of the poet. Visitors have access to the entirety of Verlaine's work: prose, poetry and correspondence. The site also includes an old garden of approximately 1000 m², temporary exhibitions and a bistro.
