Fossilea is a museum dedicated to geoheritage and the geological history of the Beaujolais region, located in Saint-Jean-des-Vignes in the Rhône. The museum invites visitors to explore local geological history dating back 180 million years, through an interactive tour and immersive spaces dedicated to vanished oceans. The site includes a 4-hectare park, permanent collections, temporary exhibitions as well as educational activities such as guided tours and workshops. Fossilea also offers complementary services including a picnic area, a shop and a restaurant.
