Musée du Cheval de Trait Ardennais

Buzancy · Ardennes · Grand Est

The Ardennais Draft Horse Museum is located in Buzancy, in the Ardennes, in the former cattle sheds and stables of Château Augeard, a remnant from the 18th century. Managed by an association of enthusiasts, it presents scale models of teams and historical accessories testifying to the relationship between man and the Ardennais draft horse breed. The museum occupies former stable boxes arranged within the castle's outbuildings, laid out in a horseshoe shape. A room with antique games, accessible during the same hours, completes the visit on the outbuildings' upper floor. The establishment welcomes visitors on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the April and July-August school holidays, and can open on request for groups of at least five people.
