Musée de la Vigne et du Vin du Jura

Arbois · Jura · Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

The Museum of Vines and Wine of the Jura is located in Arbois, in the heart of the Jura wine region, in Pécauld castle (13th-18th century) since 1993. The museum offers a comprehensive approach to Jura viticulture, combining an open-air exhibition of reconstructed vineyards illustrating regional grape varieties and the work of winemakers, complemented by indoor collections presented in the castle's cellars and rooms. The collections cover winemaking methods, the history and traditions of the wine-making world, as well as local specialties such as the Biou, yellow wine and wine cooperatives. The museum holds a label designation and regularly welcomes guided tours, notably daily during the summer season.
