The Salt Marsh Ecomuseum of Port des Salines is located in Grand-Village-Plage, on the island of Oléron in Charente-Maritime. Dedicated to the history and practices of the region's salt marshes, it offers visitors a discovery trail organized around thematic cabins exploring the functioning of the marshes, the history of local salt production and the biodiversity of salt spaces. The establishment complements its museum displays with temporary exhibitions and educational workshops, as well as complementary activities such as guided tours, boat trips and encounters with salt farmers. The site is part of the Échappées Nature network and welcomes both individual visitors and school and adult groups.
