The Fouras Regional Museum, established in Charente-Maritime, is a site museum. Anchored in the rural territory of the Fouras peninsula, it documents the tourist and architectural development of this seaside resort from the mid-nineteenth century onwards. Its collections document local history, notably the rise of holiday residences and the transformation of the urban landscape, enriched by the testimonies of inhabitants and the study of architectural heritage.
