The Musée de l'Île d'Oléron, officially the Oleron Museum Aliénor d'Aquitaine, is located in Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron in Charente-Maritime. It is situated in a rural area and is part of a local heritage preservation initiative. Its collections bring together objects related to the daily life and work practices of the island's inhabitants, illustrating the former crafts and ways of life of Oléron. The museum offers a visitor route suited to families, enhanced with educational activity booklets. Currently closed since September 2025, it is undergoing renovation and expansion aimed at strengthening its role as a cultural and territorial institution, with a reopening planned for 2028.
