Ecomusée de la Truffe

Sorges et Ligueux en Périgord · Dordogne · Nouvelle-Aquitaine

The Truffle Ecomuseum is located in Sorges-et-Ligueux-en-Périgord, in the Dordogne region, in a restored 18th-century farmhouse. The museum is dedicated to the truffle, an underground fungus, and presents its history, species, cultivation cycle, harvesting techniques, and gastronomic uses. The collections and visitor facilities cover the entire journey of the fungus, from collection to preservation. The museum also offers a discovery trail through local truffle fields and the landscapes of the Périgord limestone plateau, as well as demonstrations of truffle hunting and tastings according to the season. A shop selling truffle products and local produce completes the offering.
