The Écomusée de la Bresse bourguignonne is a site and rural territory museum located in Saône-et-Loire, having received its label in 2003. It is organized around a network of heritage sites scattered throughout the Bressa territory, with the departmental château of Pierre-de-Bresse serving as its headquarters. This ecomuseum brings together several museums and thematic sites dedicated to local heritage: agriculture, forestry, wheat and bread, mills, printing, as well as historic estates and farms. Beyond traditional museography, it offers a range of educational activities, workshops, temporary exhibitions and events designed to transmit the history and expertise of the territory. The whole constitutes an integrated approach to Bressa heritage, combining preservation, transmission and revitalization of regional traditions.
