The Vaulx-en-Velin Planetarium is a science museum dedicated to astronomy and the sciences of the Universe, open since 1995. The facility offers immersive high-definition projections in a room equipped with a 15-meter diameter dome screen, as well as a permanent exhibition of 900 m² organized over two levels, tracing the evolution of the Universe since the Big Bang. Visitors can also participate in laboratories, explore an astronomical garden, and use an observatory for daytime and nighttime observation. The educational offerings are designed for all audiences, from young children to adults, with sessions adapted by age group. The museum welcomes approximately 90,000 visitors annually and complements its permanent offerings with temporary exhibitions dedicated to current scientific themes.
