The Lumière Institute is a film library and museum dedicated to the history of cinema, located in Lyon in the Monplaisir-Lumière district. It occupies a historically significant location, since cinema was born in Lyon, and the Institute perpetuates this legacy by offering varied film programming, retrospectives, film concerts and lectures.
