The Tony Garnier City Museum is an open-air museum located in the États-Unis neighborhood, in the 8th arrondissement of Lyon. Founded in 1992 as an association, it is dedicated to the legacy of architect and urban planner Tony Garnier and his humanistic vision of the city. The museum addresses themes that are underrepresented elsewhere in France: architecture, urban planning, social housing, and urban transformation in the 20th and 21st centuries. It offers guided tours and urban walks, both on-site and throughout the city, as well as temporary exhibitions and participatory mediation projects. The City Museum functions as a center for study and cultural action around these urban and social issues.
