The Somme 1916 Museum is a history museum dedicated to the First World War, located in Albert in the Somme. Situated in a Second World War air raid shelter, it offers a documented approach to the Battle of the Somme, fought between July and November 1916. The collections include reconstructed trenches, weapons, documents and period photographs that illustrate the conditions of combat and the scale of human losses. The museum offers guided tours led by lecturers as well as a remembrance circuit allowing visitors to discover the battlefields and historical sites in the surrounding area. It welcomes visitors of all kinds and has an educational program adapted for school groups.
