The Historial Museum of the Great War is a reference institution dedicated to World War I. Located in Péronne in the Somme, it offers a multidimensional approach to the conflict, covering its military, social and cultural aspects. The institution operates according to a two-site model: the Péronne museum and the Thiepval site museum, located near the Franco-British Memorial in the heart of the Somme battlefields. Its collections comprise approximately 75,000 original pieces and documents. The museum also develops significant scientific activity through its International Research Center and offers educational resources, temporary exhibitions and mediation services.
