Musée
Saint-Dié-des-Vosges · Vosges · Grand Est

The Pierre-Noël Museum is located in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, built in 1977 alongside the cathedral complex. Set over three exhibition levels, the museum houses seven permanent collections covering archaeology, natural history, ornithology, folk traditions, and local history, including the life of Jules Ferry. A significant section is dedicated to twentieth-century modernity, with particular emphasis on the city's reconstruction after World War II and Le Corbusier's architecture, as well as Jean Prouvé's design. The museum also presents modern art collections from the Claire and Yvan Goll collection and painters of the new Paris school. A recently renovated wing offers spacious and bright spaces dedicated to these periods. The museum regularly offers temporary exhibitions, guided tours, workshops, and educational activities for school groups, associations, and individual visitors.
