Musée du Ponant

The Musée du Ponant is located on rue Saint-Mathieu in Saint-Renan, in Finistère, near the Place du Vieux Marché. Opened in July 2019, the museum is housed in a private mansion dating from 1782, which underwent rehabilitation between 2016 and 2019. It is dedicated to local and regional heritage, particularly the history of Saint-Renan, its remarkable monuments, its urban development and its historical context. The museum regularly organizes thematic exhibitions and participates in Heritage Days. Its creation project was led by Ms. Le Bihan.
